It’s an exciting time to be a Rainmaker. Every day, from our new home on Borough High Street, we create opportunities for some of the best marketing and PR agencies on the planet. Our work helps them grow.
For this to be possible, the right working environment and culture is essential. I’ve learned over the years that when you’re surrounded by smart, articulate, commercially switched-on individuals - observing how they interact with senior marketers at top brands - it’s possible to learn more in a month than could be taught in a year. By investing in the best people, with diverse interests, passions and life experiences, we push each other on to collectively achieve amazing things.
What do I look for in a potential candidate? A certain sharpness of intellect is essential, but this must be coupled with the ability to communicate naturally and effectively. The applicants that stand out in the interview process are often the ones who have picked up on relevant details about our companies and clients. This sensitivity to key information, signals and clues in daily life is something that is second nature to all of our best people – and successful entrepreneurs the world over.
Anthony Cooper – Managing Director
In 1996 we set out to solve a gap in the market for a more intelligent approach to new business acquisition and creative and marketing agencies was where our journey began. 20 years on, we're proud to have helped agencies including Iris, DDB, Imagination, Havas EHS, RAPP, Landor, Brand Union and Interbrand to win everything from the creation of Wenlock and Mandeville (the London 2012 mascots) to digital campaigns for Bentley to PR for Peperami.
Today, Rainmaker is the UK’s largest and most effective new business consultancy, serving the marketing industry in Europe, the US and Asia. We help clients make direct contact with the brands they wish to work with, putting them in the driving seat, empowering them to grow strategically.
